     J Green and Company Fine Jewelers began as a gold chain outlet under the name Great Southern Gold and Diamond in Waycross, Georgia. The business transformed in 1986 to a jewelry retail store complete with a full service repair room staffing as many as 3 jewelry repair professionals at a time.

     Great Southern Gold and Diamond became famous for the “Pay Any Amount Down”, “Any Amount Each Month and No Time Limit for Items $10.00 to $50,000” Layaway Plan also for offering a tremendous amount of quality jewelry at prices everyone could afford.

     In 2004 Great Southern Gold and Diamond relocated to a larger store in Waycross. Since that time the store has evolved into the areas largest and nicest jewelry showroom, where each piece of merchandise is hand selected to ensure our customers get the best quality for their money.

     In 2007 Great Southern Gold and Diamond made another change calling the long standing retail store J Green and Company Fine Jewelers, Inc. The owner, John Green, felt this change gives the formally know Great Southern Gold and Diamond a more personal feel.

     In 2009 J Green and Company  opened two new store locations in Brunswick and St. Mary's GA. We invite you to stop by one of our three J Green and Company locations to enjoy the J Green and Company experience.
